For
the last several years, First Choice College Placement has been offering
one of the most effective and highly recommended SAT prep courses in
our area of Connecticut. We receive an abundance of positive feedback
from families, and the greatest compliment: numerous referrals. Families
are constantly telling us that they are impressed with the professionalism
of our program, the individualized attention that their child receives,
and that our instructors are encouraging and empathetic to their child's
needs. Whether your child enrolls in the SAT class (maximum size of
12 students) or in our private
tutoring program, we aim to give him the individualized attention
he needs to help him ace the SAT. We start both the classes and the
private tutoring with full-length SAT diagnostic test. This enables
us to see how your student has performed in the different skill areas
tested by the SAT, and develop an individualized plan. Many other SAT
prep programs stress just strategy and ways to manipulate SAT-type questions,
while we focus on both strategy and skill-building. In addition to skills
review and strategy, the students will have an opportunity to take several
practice SAT tests. Each classroom and private tutoring student receives
two hours of homework a week from our SAT text book, our Vocabulary
Accelerator book, and from a practice test.
Since our instructors are also educational consultants, we can help
put the SAT scores in the context of the entire college search for families.
We would be happy to meet with your family and discuss a testing plan
(SAT I, SAT II, ACT, which one to take and when). With a growing number
of students in the Northeast opting to take the ACT in addition to,
or in place of the SAT, we offer private tutoring to help students prepare
for the ACT.
If you have more questions about our SAT program or would like us to provide
you with references, please email us at knichols@firstchoicecollege.com.
We believe that we offer the best test preparation in our area, and we
welcome the opportunity to prove it to you.
