Summer SAT Prep Options
Over the summer, First Choice College Offers you 3 options to prepare for the SAT:
- SAT Weekly Course. This class meets once a week for 8 straight weeks on either Thursday night or Saturday mornings. In addition to 8 classes their are 3 full-length practice tests. Taking this course will give students the skills, strategies, and confidence necessary to ace the SAT. Each class is capped at 12 students. The Saturday morning class starts June 30 and the Thursday night class starts on July 5. The cost of this program is $699.
- SAT Intensive Course. This is sort of an “SAT Summer Camp” as it meets 11 times over two-weeks. It consists of 8 classes and 3 full-length practice tests completed over the course of two weeks. The first week it meets Monday through Friday from 9 to 12 and the second week it meets Sunday through Friday. There are 3 sessions through the summer. The first starts on July 9, the second starts on July 23, and the last starts on August 6. The cost of this program is $699.
- SAT Private Tutoring. This is the most focused way of preparing for the test. we start by giving the student a diagnostic test, and then develop a custom preparation plan. The student works one-on-one with one of our top tutors. We meet for 90 minutes at a time and there is approximately an hours worth of homework between each session. Parents receive feed back reports after each session. Meeting times are flexible, as we meet with students Monday through Saturday. At this time we are not charging for practice tests or materials. The summer months might be a great time for relaxing, unwinding and having fun, but they also present a significant portion of time to prepare for the SAT. This gives you an opportunity to prepare for the August 25 SAT test without having to worry about other classes, affording you the luxury of focusing solely on test prep.
