About the Directors
James Maroney, Director, First Choice College Placement
James Maroney, the owner and Director of Educational Consulting at First Choice College Placement is a 1992 graduate of Jonathan Law High School in Milford, and a 1996 graduate of Yale University. At Yale, he was a 3 time varsity letter winner in both track and cross-country. In his senior year, he was elected captain of the track and field team and was awarded the Yale Men's Cross-Country Award for Performance and Dedication.
After graduation, he lived in New York City and traded equities for nearly two years before founding First Choice College Placement. Since returning to Milford, he has become an active member of the community. He is the President-Elect of the Devon Rotary, a member of the board of directors of the Milford Literacy Center, an active member of the Milford Chamber of Commerce, and the founder and coach of the Milford Centaur Youth Track Team. As owner of First Choice, he is a member of the Education Industry Association and he also serves his alma mater,
Yale University, as an alumni interviewer.

Guy Milone
Guy R. Milone, Jr., Senior Vice President/General Counsel is a graduate of Yale University, a former Yale football player, and has served Yale as an alumni interviewer for 16 years. He has over 15 years of experience as a General Counsel and 20 years of experience as an attorney. Before joining First Choice College and Elite Prep in 2009, Guy was a Senior Vice President and the General Counsel of Arbor Commercial Mortgage specializing in structured finance transactions. Guy has been recognized twice by the Yale University Admissions Office for his exemplary work as an alumni interviewer. Guy is also a published writer of stage plays and his screenplays have been recognized in the Austin Film Festival and Screenwriting competition. Guy resides in Garden City, New York with his wife Christina, and three daughters Sabrina, Lily, and Ava.
