| How do I market myself to college lacrosse
programs? |
|
- Students should send a
letter of interest to the coach in the Fall or Winter of
their junior year. The letter should include academic credentials,
an athletic resume, express
interest in the program, and if possible include a high school
schedule and list of where the student will be in the summer.
- A videotape can be helpful. A good tape contains unedited
game footage and a skills tape. Make certain that the skills
portion is done at full speed. The game footage should not be
difficult to watch and the player should be followed on all
plays, rather than simply sending a highlight reel.
- The National Tournament, Rising Stars Camp in Annapolis, MD
and CT Jr. All Star Game are good ways to get seen by college
coaches.
- Summer camps are also a good way to increase visibility. If
a student is really interested in a school, he should try to
go to their camp.
