James Maroney, Director, First Choice College Placement

James Maroney, the owner and Director of Educational Consulting at First Choice College Placement is a 1992 graduate of Jonathan Law High School in Milford, and a 1996 graduate of Yale University. At Yale, he was a 3 time varsity letter winner in both track and cross-country. In his senior year, he was elected captain of the track and field team and was awarded the Yale Men's Cross-Country Award for Performance and Dedication.

After graduation, he lived in New York City and traded equities for nearly two years before founding First Choice College Placement. Since returning to Milford, he has become an active member of the community. He is the President-Elect of the Devon Rotary, a member of the board of directors of the Milford Literacy Center, an active member of the Milford Chamber of Commerce, and the founder and coach of the Milford Centaur Youth Track Team. As owner of First Choice, he is a member of the Education Industry Association and he also serves his alma mater, Yale University, as an alumni interviewer.
