The Freshmen-Sophomore Plan

You are in the first half of your high school career. Maybe you have just begun. The idea of college still probably seems far away. But as anyone will tell you, time flies. One minute you are bored in Geometry class and next thing you know you are planning your graduation. If you are thinking about college admissions already, you are giving yourself a lot of opportunity. We can help you beyond the test prep and choosing schools. We can start with you from the beginning and help you evaluate your goals and interests to help you start building not only your resume, but your interests and skills. Enjoy languages? We can find you a summer abroad program. Play sports? We can find you camps and college coaches to talk to about persuing your sport in college. Just come in for an initial consultation and we can discuss all your opportunities. Here are some of the things we can discuss with you when you come in for your initial meeting:

  • Choosing your classes
  • Finding or starting clubs at your school
  • Summer internships
  • Summer abroad programs
  • Volunteer opportunities

Our goal is to work with students to discover their interests and strengths. The most important idea we stress is that students should not fill their time and resume with activites and classes they don't enjoy. Schools are not looking for the student who is signed up for 100 activties but has no real involvement in any of them. They are looking for real involvement and leadership roles within these activites.
